TRICARE is health insurance that's offered to members of the military of the United States. Substance abuse inside the military is more common than one would assume, and the need to offer treatment to these individuals is a priority. TRICARE covers a number of treatment services to deal with alcohol and drug dependence like detoxification services, and also treatment in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient programs. Those that have TRICARE will naturally have to have a prior authorization before partaking in any sort of rehabilitation service, that may be arranged with their regional TRICARE representative. If an inpatient program will be the favored rehab option, TRICARE will cover a three week period or one inpatient stay in that center per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are specific limits as to the length of time a TRICARE member can remain in the inpatient facility that accepts TRICARE, and there's typically a 30-45 day window that's covered. TRICARE also covers family therapy which can be very beneficial, as it can help include family members in the healing and process of recovery. No member of the military should struggle with this battle alone, and there are professional treatment counselors standing by to assist you today.
