Medicare is a type of medical insurance designed by the U.S. government for older persons, in addition to those that have specific disabilities and diseases. If a person that has Medicare needs rehabilitation for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered fully by their Medicare insurance or to a significant extent. The one exception is, the individual will need to receive treatment from an alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to begin rehab, they will also have to see their physician who must state that rehabilitation services are medically necessary, and the doctor will typically approve what sort of rehabilitation the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehabilitation solutions. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility in the event that the individual needs to be hospitalized because of their problem, and also the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are the same as any other stay in a hospital. Part B will partly cover outpatient treatment within a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance coverage or they will have to self pay.
