Medicare is a form of health insurance created by the U.S. government for older folks, along with those that have certain disabilities and sicknesses. If an individual who has Medicare needs treatment for instances of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered fully by their Medicare insurance or to a great extent. The only real catch is, the individual must acquire treatment from an alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to commence rehabilitation, they will also have to see their doctor who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically needed, and the physician will generally approve what sort of treatment the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of rehab providers. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility when the individual has to be in a hospital for his or her problem, and the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are identical to every other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation within a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance or they'll have to self pay.
