Medicare is a form of medical health insurance designed by the government for senior citizens, and also those that have specific disabilities and sicknesses. If someone who has Medicare needs rehabilitation for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will either be covered in full by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The one exception is, the person must acquire treatment from an alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to commence treatment, they can also get to see their doctor who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically necessary, and the physician will typically approve what type of treatment the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehab providers. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual has to be hospitalized for their problem, and also the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as any other hospital stay. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab in a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they will have to self pay.
