Medicaid is a form of medical insurance available for individuals who are in certain income brackets which qualifies them to receive this government provided insurance coverage. Whether or not someone qualifies for Medicaid doesn't only determined by income however, and people shouldn't presume they don't qualify just because they earn a good income. Some states only include outpatient treatment services for example while other states cover far more intensive rehabilitation such as a residential stay in long-term drug treatment facility. If somebody is involved with substance abuse and needs help, they could use their Medicaid health coverage to acquire this treatment. If they do not have Medicaid and also don't have the funds or another form of medical health insurance to pay for rehabilitation, they can see if they qualify for Medicaid and then sign up for a drug rehab center that's approved inside their state.
