Medicare is a kind of medical health insurance developed by the federal government for senior citizens, along with people with certain disabilities and diseases. If a person who has Medicare needs treatment for instances of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered in full by their Medicare insurance or to a great extent. The one catch is, the person will need to acquire treatment from the drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to commence rehabilitation, they can also get to visit their physician who must declare that rehab services are medically necessary, and the doctor will typically approve what type of treatment the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehab services. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility when the individual needs to be in a hospital for their problem, as well as the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are the same as any other stay in a hospital. Part B will partly cover outpatient treatment within a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance or they will have to self pay.
