Hearing impaired individuals tend to have an elevated likelihood of drug abuse issues because of the impairment, and treatment services have to be available which cater to their circumstances. Individuals who are hearing impaired can appear isolated, lack motivation, and goalless for their impairment. ASL rehab services are definitely a must, as are treatment services which address the particular challenges that hearing impaired individuals encounter. Group therapy offers a venue for important peer interactions so that rehab clients can know they are not on their own, and that there is hope to handle their problem with drugs and alcohol. Individual counseling services can be more tailored for each individual to ensure that their particular problems can be remedied in treatment.
