TRICARE is health care insurance that's offered to members of the armed forces of the United States. Drug and alcohol use within the military is a lot more common than one would assume, and the need to provide treatment to these individuals is a crucial priority. TRICARE covers a number of rehabilitation services to cope with alcohol and drug dependence like detoxification services, along with rehabilitation in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient programs. Those that have TRICARE will naturally be required to obtain a prior approval before partaking in any sort of treatment service, that may be arranged using a regional TRICARE representative. If an inpatient facility is the favored rehab option, TRICARE will cover a 3 week period or one inpatient stay in that program per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are specific limits concerning just how long a TRICARE member can stay in an inpatient program that accepts TRICARE, then there is typically a 30-45 day window which is covered. TRICARE also covers family counselling which may be very useful, as it can help include loved ones in the healing and recovery process. No member of the military should fight this battle alone, and there are professional rehab counselors standing by to assist you today.
