A group home for anyone who has tbeen involved with alcohol and drug abuse is a facility which offers continuous support and help for folks in recovery. A group home is typically for troubled adolescents, but in addition there are group homes for individuals with a mental health disorder or who are encountering behavioral trouble for example. As opposed to sending people who are struggling with drug abusedrug use or recovering from substance abuse to an orphanage, asylum or any other similar facility, a group home will help provide an appropriate environment to help maintain stability in their lives and have counsel and assistance at their fingertips 24/7. People who reside within a group home may be involved in rehabilitation services whilst in residence, or may be taking actions to get their life setup outside the group home to enable them to at some time live on their own outside the group home. As an example, a troubled youth who may have been in recovery or has recovered from drug abusedrug use can work on getting their GED or acquire work.
