Medicare is a form of medical insurance developed by the government for seniors, along with people who have specific disabilities and illnesses. When someone who has Medicare needs rehab for instances of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered fully by their Medicare insurance or to a significant extent. The only catch is, the individual must receive treatment from an alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to begin rehab, they will also have to visit their doctor who must state that rehabilitation services are medically necessary, and the physician will typically approve which kind of treatment the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of treatment services. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility when the individual should be in a hospital because of their problem, along with the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are identical to any other hospital stay. Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation in the Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance or they will have to self pay.
