Medicaid is a medical insurance available for many people who are in certain income brackets which qualifies them to receive this government funded insurance coverage. Whether or not an individual is qualified for Medicaid doesn't only depend on their earnings however, and individuals shouldn't presume they don't qualify because they earn an acceptable income. For instance, individuals who have many dependents may be eligible for Medicaid regardless of whether they earn what would be considered a sensible income. Medicaid may also cover the expenses of rehab, if someone has been abusing drugs or alcohol and requires treatment. There are numerous alcohol and drug rehab centers which accept Medicaid, but various states have different guidelines for what sorts of rehab are covered. Some states only include outpatient rehabilitation services as an example while other states cover more extensive rehab such as a residential stay in long-term drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility. If a person is involved with drug abuse and wants help, they can use their Medicaid insurance coverage to obtain this treatment. If they don't have Medicaid and in addition don't have the cash or another form of health insurance to cover treatment, they can see if they are eligible for a Medicaid and then enroll in a drug rehabilitation program which is approved inside their state.
