Offering gender-specific rehabilitation services has shown to be very helpful in situations where conventional treatment settings have not meet expectations, like coping with situations inside a women's life which are unique and traumatic. Such difficulties may pertain to sexual abuse, physical abuse, psychological abuse, eating disorders, one's family and being a mother, and other really serious issues that are particular to women.
