A group home for anyone who has tbeen involved with alcohol and drug abuse is a facility which provides continuous support and help for people in recovery. A group home is usually for troubled adolescents, but there's also group homes for folks with a mental health disorder or who are encountering behavioral trouble for example. Rather than sending individuals who are struggling with drug abusedrug use or recovering from drug abuse to an orphanage, asylum or any other similar place, a group home can help offer an appropriate environment to help individuals maintain stability in their lives and still have counsel and support within reach 24/7. Residents inside a group home may be getting involved in rehabilitation services whilst in residence, or could be taking measures to get their life setup outside the group home in order to at some time live on their own outside the group home. For example, a troubled youth that has been in recovery or has recovered from drug abusedrug use can work on getting their GED or obtain work. A group home is not necessarily a long-term or permanent answer, but it's a viable temporary option for individuals who making the effort to get their lives back together.
