TRICARE is medical health insurance which is offered to individuals in the armed forces of the United States. Substance abuse within the military is more common than one would assume, and the need to offer rehabilitation to these individuals is an important priority. TRICARE covers many different rehab services to handle alcohol and drug dependence including detox services, as well as rehab in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient programs. People who have TRICARE will naturally have to obtain a prior approval before partaking in any sort of treatment service, that may be organized using a regional TRICARE representative. If an inpatient program will be the favored treatment choice, TRICARE covers a three week period or one inpatient stay in such a center per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are certain limits regarding how long a TRICARE member can stay in an inpatient facility that accepts TRICARE, then there is typically a 30 to 45 day window which is covered. TRICARE also covers family treatment that may be very useful, as it could help include loved ones in the healing and recovery process. No member of the military should fight this battle alone, and there are professional rehabilitation counselors standing by to assist you today.
