Medicaid is a medical insurance available for individuals who are in certain income brackets which qualifies them to receive this government funded insurance. Whether or not an individual qualifies for Medicaid doesn't only depend on income however, and people shouldn't assume they don't qualify because they earn a fair income. If somebody is involved in substance abuse and wants help, they're able to use their Medicaid insurance coverage to get this treatment. If they do not have Medicaid and in addition don't have enough cash or any other form of health insurance to pay for rehabilitation, they can find out if they are eligible for a Medicaid and then enroll in an alcohol and drug rehabilitation program that's approved in their state.
