Medicare is a type of medical insurance created by the government for older persons, as well as people with certain disabilities and sicknesses. When someone who has Medicare needs rehab for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will either be covered in full by their Medicare insurance or to a great degree. The one exception is, the individual will need to obtain treatment from an alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to start treatment, they can also get to see their primary care physician who must state that treatment services are medically essential, and the doctor will generally approve what type of rehab the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehabilitation providers. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center when the individual should be in a hospital for problem, along with the costs that they will have to cover personally are identical to every other hospital stay. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation in a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance or they're going to have to self pay.
