Medicare is a form of health care insurance created by the government for seniors, along with those that have certain disabilities and diseases. If someone that has Medicare needs treatment for instances of substance abuse, their treatment will be either covered in full by their Medicare health insurance or to a great extent. The only real exception is, the person will need to receive treatment coming from a drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to start rehabilitation, they can also get to see their physician who must declare that treatment services are medically needed, and the physician will generally approve what sort of treatment the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehab providers. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual needs to be in a hospital for their issue, along with the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to any other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehab inside a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
