Medicare is a kind of health insurance developed by the U.S. government for older persons, along with people who have certain disabilities and sicknesses. If someone who has Medicare needs treatment for instances of substance abuse, their rehab will either be covered in full by their Medicare health insurance or to a great extent. The one exception is, the individual must acquire treatment coming from a drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to start treatment, they will also have to see their medical doctor who must declare that treatment services are medically necessary, and the doctor will typically approve which kind of treatment the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehab solutions. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program if the individual needs to be in a hospital for their problem, and the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are the same as any other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation in a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance or they're going to have to self pay.
