Dual diagnosis rehabs are centers which provide treatment to address both mental health and addiction concerns simultaneously. Rehab counselors will continue to work to identify environmental factors in the client's life such as negative people in their lives or any other things that need to be addressed in order for the person to remain mentally stable and sober t when they leave dual diagnosis rehab. Dual diagnosis clients also benefit from behavioral treatment which will help them develop far better coping mechanisms so they are better able to deal with life circumstances better after they leave dual diagnosis rehab instead of returning to alcohol and drugs as a possible option.
