Medicare is a kind of medical health insurance developed by the federal government for older persons, and also people who have certain disabilities and illnesses. If a person that has Medicare needs rehab for cases of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered completely by their Medicare health insurance or to a great extent. The one catch is, the person will need to receive treatment from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to begin treatment, they will also have to see their doctor who must state that rehabilitation services are medically necessary, and the physician will generally approve what type of treatment the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehab providers. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program in the event that the individual must be in a hospital for their problem, and the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as any other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehab inside a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance or they've got to self pay.
