Medicare is a form of medical insurance developed by the U.S. government for senior citizens, as well as people with specific disabilities and diseases. If a person who has Medicare needs treatment for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will either be covered completely by their Medicare insurance or to a significant degree. The only catch is, the person will need to receive treatment from the alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to start rehabilitation, they may also have to see their primary care physician who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically needed, and the physician will generally approve what type of rehab the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of treatment solutions. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility when the individual must be hospitalized for problem, along with the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are identical to any other hospital stay. Part B will partially cover outpatient rehab in a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
