Medicare is a form of medical insurance designed by the U.S. government for older persons, in addition to people who have certain disabilities and diseases. When someone that has Medicare needs rehab for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will be either covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a great extent. The only real catch is, the person will have to receive treatment coming from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to start treatment, they will also have to see their physician who must declare that rehab services are medically essential, and the physician will generally approve which kind of treatment the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of rehabilitation services. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility in the event that the individual needs to be in a hospital for their issue, along with the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are the same as every other hospital stay. Part B will partly cover outpatient treatment in the Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance or they will have to self pay.
