Medicare is a form of medical health insurance created by the government for seniors, as well as those that have specific disabilities and diseases. When someone that has Medicare needs treatment for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered entirely by their Medicare insurance or to a great extent. The one catch is, the individual will have to obtain treatment coming from an alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to begin treatment, they can also get to visit their primary care physician who must declare that rehab services are medically essential, and the physician will typically approve what type of rehab the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehab solutions. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center if the individual needs to be in a hospital for their issue, and the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as every other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation within a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
