Medicare is a type of health care insurance developed by the government for senior citizens, in addition to those that have specific disabilities and diseases. When someone that has Medicare needs treatment for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will either be covered in full by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant degree. The one catch is, the individual must acquire treatment from the alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to start rehab, they may also have to see their doctor who must declare that treatment services are medically necessary, and the doctor will typically approve what sort of rehab the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehabilitation solutions. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center if the individual must be hospitalized because of their problem, along with the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as every other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient treatment in a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance coverage or they will have to self pay.
