TRICARE is medical insurance that's provided to members of the military of the United States. Drug abuse within the military is more common than one would imagine, and the need to provide rehabilitation to these individuals is an important priority. TRICARE covers many different rehab services to address alcohol and drug dependence like detox services, as well as rehabilitation in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient facilities. People who have TRICARE will of course have to have a prior approval before partaking in any sort of rehab service, which can be organized using a regional TRICARE liaison. If an inpatient facility will be the favored rehab option, TRICARE will cover twenty-one days or one inpatient stay in that program per benefit period which is every 12 months. There are specific limits regarding just how long a TRICARE member can stay within an inpatient program that accepts TRICARE, then there is typically a 30 to 45 day window which is covered. TRICARE also covers family counselling which can be very beneficial, as it may help include loved ones in the healing and recovery process. No member of the military should fight this battle alone, and there are expert treatment counselors waiting to assist you today.
