TRICARE is health insurance which is offered to people in the military of the United States. Substance abuse inside the military is more common than one would assume, and the need to provide rehab to these individuals is a priority. TRICARE covers many different rehab services to deal with drug and alcohol dependence like detox services, in addition to rehab in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient facilities. If an inpatient facility is the preferred rehab option, TRICARE covers a 3 week period or one inpatient stay in that center per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are specific limits about just how long a TRICARE member can stay within an inpatient facility that accepts TRICARE, then there is typically a 30 to 45 day window that's covered. TRICARE also covers family therapy which may be very beneficial, as it may help include family members in the healing and recovery process.
