Medicare is a type of medical insurance designed by the federal government for older folks, along with individuals with certain disabilities and diseases. If someone who has Medicare needs rehabilitation for cases of substance abuse, their treatment will be either covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The one exception is, the individual will need to acquire treatment coming from an alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to begin rehabilitation, they will also have to visit their doctor who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically needed, and the physician will usually approve which kind of rehabilitation the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehab services. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center when the individual should be in a hospital for issue, along with the costs that they will have to pay for personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab in the Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance coverage or they're going to have to self pay.
