Medicare is a form of medical insurance developed by the government for older folks, as well as those that have specific disabilities and sicknesses. If an individual who has Medicare needs rehabilitation for instances of substance abuse, their treatment will be either covered in full by their Medicare health insurance or to a great extent. The only exception is, the person will have to acquire treatment from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to begin treatment, they will also have to see their primary care physician who must declare that rehab services are medically needed, and the physician will usually approve which kind of treatment the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of treatment providers. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility when the individual must be hospitalized for their issue, and the costs that they will have to pay for personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient treatment in the Medicare accepted program, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
