Medicare is a kind of medical health insurance designed by the federal government for older persons, along with people with specific disabilities and diseases. If an individual who has Medicare needs rehabilitation for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will either be covered completely by their Medicare insurance or to a significant extent. The only exception is, the person will have to receive treatment from an alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to begin rehabilitation, they may also have to visit their doctor who must state that rehabilitation services are medically essential, and the doctor will typically approve what type of rehab the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of rehabilitation providers. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program when the individual needs to be in a hospital because of their problem, and the costs that they will have to pay for personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Part B will partially cover outpatient treatment inside a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they've got to self pay.
