TRICARE is medical health insurance that's offered to members of the armed forces of the United States. TRICARE covers a number of rehab services to address drug and alcohol dependence like detoxification services, in addition to rehab in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient facilities. If an inpatient program could be the preferred rehabilitation choice, TRICARE will cover 21 days or one inpatient stay in that center per benefit period which is every 12 months. There are certain limits regarding the length of time a TRICARE member can remain in an inpatient facility that accepts TRICARE, and there's typically a 30-45 day window that's covered.
