Medicare is a form of health insurance designed by the government for older persons, and also those that have certain disabilities and diseases. If an individual who has Medicare needs treatment for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered in full by their Medicare insurance or to a significant degree. The only real catch is, the individual will have to obtain treatment from your drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to begin treatment, they can also get to see their medical doctor who must state that rehabilitation services are medically necessary, and the doctor will typically approve what sort of rehabilitation the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of treatment services. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program when the individual has to be in a hospital for their problem, and the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation inside a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance coverage or they're going to have to self pay.
