Medicare is a type of health insurance developed by the federal government for older persons, as well as those that have specific disabilities and diseases. If a person that has Medicare needs rehab for cases of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered in full by their Medicare insurance or to a significant degree. The only real exception is, the individual must obtain treatment from an alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to begin rehabilitation, they may also have to visit their doctor who must state that rehab services are medically necessary, and the physician will typically approve what sort of rehab the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of treatment services. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual has to be hospitalized because of their issue, and the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are identical to any other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient treatment in a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance or they're going to have to self pay.
