A group home for anyone who has tbeen involved with alcohol and drug abuse is a facility which offers continuous support and help for those in recovery. A group home is usually for troubled adolescents, but there are also group homes for individuals with a mental health disorder or who are experiencing behavioral trouble for example. As an alternative to sending individuals who are experiencing drug abusedrug use or recovering from drug abuse to an orphanage, asylum and other similar place, a group home can help offer an appropriate environment to help maintain stability inside their lives and have counsel and support within reach 24/7. People who reside within a group home might be getting involved in rehab services during residence, or might be taking actions to get their life set up outside the group home in order to at some point live on their own away from the group home. For instance, a troubled youth that has been in recovery or has recovered from drug abusedrug use can try to get their GED or obtain employment. A group home is not necessarily a long-term or permanent solution, but it's a feasible temporary option for those who are attempting to get their lives back together again.
