Medicare is a type of health insurance created by the government for older persons, along with those that have certain disabilities and illnesses. When someone that has Medicare needs rehab for instances of substance abuse, their rehab will be either covered completely by their Medicare insurance or to a significant degree. The only real exception is, the individual will need to receive treatment from the drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to commence rehabilitation, they will also have to visit their doctor who must state that rehab services are medically necessary, and the physician will generally approve what sort of rehabilitation the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehabilitation providers. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility when the individual must be hospitalized because of their problem, and the costs that they will have to cover personally are identical to any other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient treatment within a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance coverage or they're going to have to self pay.
