This doesn't often work in the treatment client's favor however, particularly for those individuals who need to address significant drug abuse problems. So even though an outpatient rehab might appear to be an expedient possibility, it isn't for everybody. Those who choose an outpatient rehab will generally attend meetings and be a part of counseling and treatment services on a part-time basis each day or several days per week. This is helpful for individuals who have just completed a far more thorough inpatient or residential program as a good aftercare or upkeep step, and someone with just a brief history of substance abuse which is really a really small amount of clients. For a person with more significant drug abuse and dependency issues, inpatient or residential drug rehabilitation programs which offer rehab on a long-term basis will be the more advantageous treatment choice.
