Medicare is a sort of medical insurance designed by the government for seniors, along with people with specific disabilities and illnesses. When someone who has Medicare needs treatment for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will either be covered in full by their Medicare health insurance or to a great extent. The only exception is, the individual must acquire treatment from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to start rehab, they can also get to see their primary care physician who must declare that treatment services are medically necessary, and the doctor will usually approve what type of rehabilitation the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehabilitation providers. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center if the individual needs to be in a hospital because of their problem, along with the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are the same as any other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab inside a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
