Medicare is a type of medical insurance developed by the government for older persons, in addition to people who have certain disabilities and diseases. When someone that has Medicare needs rehab for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered completely by their Medicare health insurance or to a great degree. The only catch is, the individual must receive treatment coming from an alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to begin rehabilitation, they may also have to visit their doctor who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically essential, and the doctor will typically approve which kind of rehabilitation the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehab services. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual must be hospitalized for his or her issue, as well as the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are identical to any other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehab inside a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance or they'll have to self pay.
