Medicare is a type of health insurance designed by the federal government for seniors, in addition to individuals with specific disabilities and illnesses. When someone that has Medicare needs treatment for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will either be covered fully by their Medicare insurance or to a great extent. The one exception is, the person will have to acquire treatment from an alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to start rehab, they may also have to see their primary care physician who must state that rehab services are medically needed, and the doctor will typically approve what type of rehab the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of rehabilitation providers. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center when the individual should be hospitalized for their problem, along with the costs that they will have to pay for personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient treatment in the Medicare accepted center, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance or they've got to self pay.
