Self pay is often times the only option for those who need treatment in the alcohol and drug treatment program for drug abuse but have zero health care insurance. It isn't uncommon for somebody addicted to alcohol or drugs not to have private medical health insurance, as it can be challenging to keep a drug or alcohol habit going while also sustaining work.
