Medicare is a type of medical health insurance developed by the government for seniors, as well as individuals with specific disabilities and illnesses. If an individual who has Medicare needs treatment for cases of substance abuse, their rehab will either be covered completely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The one catch is, the person must obtain treatment from the alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to commence rehabilitation, they will also have to see their primary care physician who must declare that rehab services are medically needed, and the physician will generally approve which kind of treatment the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of treatment services. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center when the individual should be hospitalized for his or her problem, and the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are the same as every other hospital stay. Part B will partially cover outpatient rehab inside a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance or they've got to self pay.
