Medicare is a type of health care insurance created by the government for seniors, in addition to those that have certain disabilities and illnesses. If someone who has Medicare needs treatment for cases of substance abuse, their treatment will be either covered entirely by their Medicare insurance or to a great extent. The only real catch is, the individual will have to obtain treatment coming from a drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to begin rehabilitation, they will also have to see their physician who must state that rehab services are medically needed, and the physician will generally approve which kind of rehab the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of treatment services. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program in the event that the individual must be hospitalized for issue, and the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation in the Medicare accepted center, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
