Medicare is a type of medical health insurance developed by the government for older folks, along with individuals with specific disabilities and diseases. If someone that has Medicare needs rehabilitation for cases of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered entirely by their Medicare insurance or to a great extent. The only real exception is, the individual will need to obtain treatment from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to commence treatment, they may also have to visit their primary care physician who must state that rehabilitation services are medically necessary, and the physician will usually approve what sort of rehabilitation the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehabilitation solutions. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center in the event that the individual should be hospitalized for their problem, and also the costs that they will have to pay for personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation in a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they're going to have to self pay.
