Medicare is a form of medical insurance created by the government for seniors, and also those that have certain disabilities and illnesses. If someone who has Medicare needs rehab for instances of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered in full by their Medicare insurance or to a great extent. The only real exception is, the person will have to receive treatment from an alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to start rehab, they may also have to see their primary care physician who must declare that treatment services are medically essential, and the doctor will generally approve which kind of treatment the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehab providers. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual needs to be in a hospital for his or her problem, as well as the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are identical to every other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation within a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
