Medicare is a form of medical insurance created by the government for senior citizens, as well as individuals with certain disabilities and illnesses. When someone who has Medicare needs treatment for cases of substance abuse, their rehab will either be covered fully by their Medicare health insurance or to a great degree. The only real exception is, the person will have to acquire treatment coming from an alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to begin treatment, they may also have to see their physician who must state that rehabilitation services are medically needed, and the physician will typically approve what type of treatment the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of treatment solutions. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility in the event that the individual should be in a hospital for their issue, and the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are identical to any other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation within a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
