Offering gender-specific rehab services has proven very helpful in circumstances where traditional rehabilitation facilities have fallen short, including coping with situations within a women's life which can be distinctive and painful. Such issues may pertain to sexual abuse, physical trauma, mental abuse, eating disorders, one's family and motherhood, or another serious issues that are specific to women. Research has shown that women also can get embroiled in drug use more readily than men, and so are more vulnerable to illness due to drug abuse issues than males consequently. Because of duties in the home, women also tend to postpone trying to find and undergoing treatment, a circumstance which can lead to disaster. With this in mind, rehab services for women are created so that a women's needs would be the concentration and priority.
