Medicare is a type of health insurance created by the federal government for older folks, in addition to individuals with certain disabilities and sicknesses. If a person who has Medicare needs rehabilitation for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will be either covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant degree. The one catch is, the individual must obtain treatment coming from a drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to begin rehabilitation, they will also have to visit their primary care physician who must declare that treatment services are medically essential, and the doctor will typically approve what type of treatment the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of treatment providers. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility in the event that the individual must be hospitalized for issue, and also the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehab within a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
