TRICARE is medical health insurance that's offered to members of the military of the United States. Drug and alcohol use within the military is more common than one would think, and the need to offer treatment to these individuals is a crucial priority. TRICARE covers many different rehab services to deal with alcohol and drug dependence like detoxification services, as well as treatment in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient settings. People who have TRICARE will obviously need to get a prior authorization before partaking in any sort of rehabilitation service, that may be organized using their regional TRICARE representative. If an inpatient center could be the preferred treatment option, TRICARE will cover a three week period or one inpatient stay in this center per benefit period which is every 12 months. There are specific limits regarding just how long a TRICARE member can stay within an inpatient center that accepts TRICARE, and there is typically a 30 to 45 day window that's covered. TRICARE also covers family treatment that may be very useful, as it may help include loved ones in the healing and recovery process. No member of the military should fight this battle alone, and there are skilled rehabilitation counselors standing by to assist you today.
