Medicaid is a form of medical health insurance available for many people who are in certain income brackets which qualifies them to receive this government provided insurance. Whether somebody is qualified for Medicaid doesn't only determined by income however, and individuals shouldn't presume they don't qualify just because they earn an acceptable income. For example, individuals who have many dependents may be entitled to Medicaid even though they make what would be described as a reasonable income. Medicaid also can cover the price of rehabilitation, if a person has been abusing alcohol or drugs and requires rehabilitation. There are many drug and alcohol rehab facilities which accept Medicaid, but different states have different rules for what sorts of rehabilitation are covered. Some states only cover outpatient rehab services as an example while other states cover far more extensive treatment say for example a residential stay in long-term alcohol and drug rehab facility. If somebody is involved with substance abuse and needs help, they can use their Medicaid health coverage to obtain this help. If they do not have Medicaid and also don't have the cash or some other type of medical health insurance to pay for rehabilitation, they can determine if they qualify for Medicaid and then enroll in a drug and alcohol treatment program which is approved in their state.
