Medicare is a type of health insurance designed by the federal government for senior citizens, in addition to people with specific disabilities and sicknesses. When someone that has Medicare needs treatment for cases of substance abuse, their rehab will be either covered entirely by their Medicare insurance or to a great degree. The only catch is, the individual must receive treatment from the drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to commence rehab, they will also have to visit their medical doctor who must state that treatment services are medically necessary, and the doctor will usually approve which kind of rehab the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of rehab providers. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility when the individual has to be hospitalized for his or her issue, and the costs that they will have to cover personally are identical to every other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehab inside a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance or they're going to have to self pay.
